Job Description:
ECC Chimney Service is seeking a skilled and motivated Chimney Technician or Helper to join our growing team. We’re a full-service chimney company dedicated to quality repairs, maintenance, and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate will assist with or perform chimney inspections, repairs, and installations, bringing hands-on experience and a strong work ethic to ensure safety and excellence on every job.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with or perform chimney inspections, identifying issues like deteriorated liners, cracked crowns, and flashing problems.
  • Install chimney liners (e.g., M-Flex stainless steel), apply sealants (CrownCoat, FlashSeal), and fit chimney caps.
  • Conduct brick replacement, tuck pointing, and waterproofing tasks.
  • Set up staging/scaffolding and use lifts for safe roof access.
  • Power wash chimneys and handle debris cleanup.
  • Work alongside senior technicians to learn and refine skills (for Helper role).

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in chimney repair, masonry, roofing, or related construction trades (minimum 1-2 years preferred for Technician; some experience for Helper).
  • Knowledge of chimney components (liners, flashing, crowns, gutter backs) and repair techniques.
  • Ability to work at heights safely, with familiarity using ladders, scaffolding, and harnesses.
  • Basic understanding of tools (e.g., grinders, brushes, sealant applicators) and materials (e.g., lead, mortar, stainless steel).
  • Physical fitness to lift 50+ lbs, climb, and work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
